BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:15 P.M.) – The U.S. Coalition launched a large-scale aerial assault over the southeastern countryside of the Deir Ezzor Governorate, today, targeting a number of sites controlled by the so-called “Islamic State” (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) terrorist organization.
According to a local report, the U.S. Coalition concentrated most of their airstrikes on the Islamic State stronghold of Hajin, which is located east of the Euphrates River.
During their aerial assault on Hajin, the U.S. Coalition struck a civilian neighborhood, killing at least 15 civilians inside the town, state-owned Al-Ikhbariya TV reported.
Among the dead were mostly women and children that were hiding away from the airstrikes on Hajin, the Al-Ikhbariya report added.
The U.S. Coalition has yet to comment on this latest accusation by the Syrian government.
